The Golden Palm Weaver (Ploceus bojeri) is a species of bird in the Ploceidae family. It is found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Tanzania.
As can be seen, the male Golden Palm Weaver is one of the most beautiful of the Weavers. It has a bright golden face, crown, and bib on a yellow breast, abdomen and back. The bill is bluish.
These photos were taken at Samburu Simba Lodge, Buffalo Springs Nature Preserve, Kenya. Steven made a special trip to this Lodge just to see the Golden Palm Weaver.
