Allen's HummingbirdSelasphorus sasin is the most common visitor to our hummingbird feeders. For such a small bird their behavior of aggressively chasing away other hummingbirds even of the same species surprised me. The feeder often sounded like buzz bombs over England. Their coloring is striking especially in the red-throated males (6676). The wings are always a blur.
