Since butterflies are the next closest thing to birds - they are beautifully colored, have many species and fly, I have included some photos of the butterflies at the Butterfly Farm on the east side of St Martin. Most of the butterflies were difficult to photograph because they never stopped flying long enough to get a good shot. I could only get the Swallowtail sidewise, but that was beautiful. The Zebra Longwing was the best of the bunch. The Monarch was a bit beat up but the light shining through it made for a striking photo.
Many Bananaquits were feeding at the feeders outside this farm and several of the Bananaquit photos are from this site.
