These photos of a Chestnut-backed Chickadee Poecile rufescens reminded me of my photos of the Galapagos flycatcher (see www.ComingsBIrds.com/Galapagos ). It was one of those delightful moments in bird photography when a small bird, normally difficult to photograph, plops down ten feet away, allowing for a photo with tack sharp focus of every feather.
These photos were taken outside the aquarium in the estuary viewing port of the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, OR. This charming little bird stayed long enough for multiple photos at different angles.
