The American Kestral Falco sparverius is seen in open habitats, grasslands and fields across the U.S. It is the smallest of the falcons. Its bright orange coloration makes it an easy bird to identify in the field.
The first three photos were taken at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey north of Orlando, the last at the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center.
