The Kelp Gull Larus dominicanus is a rare migrant from South America. These photos were taken in the Penguin House of Seaworld in Orlando. There are three gulls with the combination of a red spot on the lower bill and black back and wings: The Lesser Black-backed Gull, Great Black Backed Gull and the Kelp Gull. The first two are have a range along the coast of eastern U.S. while the Kelp Gull is a rare visitor from South America.
